Gourd Head

Not the scariest form of pumpkin face, but it is sheepish. I carved this for Halloween in 2002. It was before the white pumpkins became color du jour and therefore- pricey. Boooo!! I mean Baaaa, but in a scary voice.

Come Along, Ewe

Hallmark was kind enough to sell me the very best, Merino Woolmore and Chauncey...The Speedsters. It's from The Boyds Collection and was purchased Sept. 2, 2000. The escargot, he has, how you say, a cargo. Happy Trails.

Comes With Strings Attached

Karol, a friend of 35 years, gifted this to me. (35??whew!) But I think the von Trapp family will drop by later to claim their puppet.

Having A Wooly Good Time

One of the first eBay purchases from March 2002, when I found I was getting my new house. Of course, it needed to be furnished with all things sheep. Always sheep time here.

Mugging For The Camera

Wow. A hand-thrown mug with a sheep on it. A find on eBay from two years ago that made this potter, who collects sheep, ecstatic. I think he's adorable and functional, too. Handled with caa-are.

This Bud's For You

Spring girl. Literally, as she has one that lets her body bounce about like a bobblehead. I bought her in a hospital gift shop last year. See the lovely flower on her head? Well, hummingbirds see it through the window, too. I've watched them try to sip from her head many times. Is that a flower on your head, or are you just happy to see me?

Very Animated

These were toys in the Subway children's meal. I went to their site when I heard about the give-a-way, and what should arrive in the mail- the whole set. Kudos, Subway. Kewel.
The toys are based on the hawk-dove cartoon, Sheep In The Big City. A weapon that runs on sheep power and the sheep not willing to be the fuel. It's no longer being made, but the few episodes were worth the watch. Run, Sheep, Run. Baaa!

Cheap sheep! They were in a pack of paper plates- about $1.79. They look a little like the apes, actually chimps, from the original Planet of the Apes movies, though. OK. Just so's they don't take over the house and start talkin'.

Let's Get Plattered

I stood in line for 3 hours the day I bought this blue-eyed girl, all decked-out in her fine chapeau. I attended a talk and a Wedgwood signing by the Duchess of York on Sept. 27, 2000. As the line wandered through Dillard's various departments, there she was being used as a prop in the bedding area.(the sheep, not Fergie) Got a signed platter and a sheep that day. Are you being served, Lady Grey?

Witness Protection Program

OK. So this really isn't a sheep. Just a bear with a majorly, wooly identity crisis. This cutie also resides on the shelf over my desk at work and he was given to me by a dear friend, Dorothy. I feel fluffy. Oh, so fluffy.

Contented Tummy

This little stuffed guy holds a picture of one of my most favorite guys, my Daddy. The lambie sits on the shelf above my desk and was given to me by a co-worker. Olive-ewe, Daddy.

A Christmas present from Lisa. It holds a heapin', helpin' of steamin' caffeine-laced joe. Ewe's a good joe.

Flower Child

Yet another eBay purchase. I actually saw it once in a Pier 1 store. That's when I knew it an import, and not someone's artwork after having had bad seafood. Psychedelic Baby!

I'm Stuck On Ewe

If it's sheep you want, then flock on over to eBay. Sweet Wooly Moma! I had no idea there were others like me out there. But on eBay, they live.(and multiply, too) Sheep sticker- 99¢. Shipping- $1.00. Silly grin that repeats every time I pass it- priceless. Warning: Sometimes fun just gets stuck on.

Wow. That's Gonna Leave a Mark

Yep, I know. A smaller version is already on the blog. It's the story behind this pic, that is the real sheep-a-day post. This little lamb gallops through the yard at the Petting Farm where I work. I enlarged an original drawing and projected it on plywood. It's actually from my 2"x3" artwork, done as a layout for a tattoo that I got in April 2000. The colors are the same, but a gold earring and ivy leaves are also inked on, just above my left ankle. You might say this sheep is definitely a permanent part of my collection. Born to be wii-i-ld.

You've Got Lambs

Worth the $1.99 from Cingular.com back in June. I found out the expensive way that you can't transfer games, images and ringtones from phone to phone. I bought the phone on-line and the freestanding Cingular stores charge a $25 SIM card transfer fee. A fair enough price if all the data went with it. NO, the phonebook is all that would transfer. I kept the fee and spent a wee bit of time entering, by hand, about 500 entries. Whoa Moma! But I got to use that $25 on things like the above screensaver. LittleLambsOnPhonie.

Sheep Fan

I decided to subscribe to one of Cathryn's, my great-niece, life mottos, "If it doesn't move, place a sticker on it". And since it wasn't oscillating at the time, why not? This one came from a Sticker-A-Day desk calendar. Easy, breezy, colorful ewe.
