Bowled Over Twice

These beautiful bowls were handcrafted by potter, Paula Cadle. She is a fellow member in the Texas Pottery and Sculpture Guild. Her style is delightful and full of whimsy. She has quite a following when we have a Guild Sale, people come to collect her work, as well they should. We, as potters, had an awesome oppurtunity to help 'bowl over' hunger. 'Empty Bowls' is a yearly event to help local area food banks. Many cities all over the country are getting students and artists to donate their work to the cause. Not just potters- also woodturners and glassmakers step up to the challenge.

With a $25 advance ticket, a person gets lunch and a keepsake bowl of their choice. The food is donated by local restruants and is top notched. In the North Texas area, this event happens in February. Check the website above and see if an event will be in your area. Let's get involved in an "artful way to end hunger".

New Lamb

I hope you will forgive me the subject of the pic. No, not truly from a sheep collection. But still a lamb and already irreplaceable. And this is the 'Lisa' that is often written about on this blog.
